D.I.Y: Sea Salt Spray

Hey guys! Here is a tutorial on how to get waves in your hair without paying salon product prices. A sea salt spray is designed to give you fun beachy waves in your hair without actually having to swim in the ocean. This sea salt spray recipe is super easy to make and most of the items you will need you can find around your house!

So, here is what you'll need
An empty spray bottle
1 cup of warm water
1 tsp of sea salt
1 tsp of coconut oil
1/2 a tsp of hair gel

First, you want to take a measuring cup and fill it up with warm water to the 1 cup mark. The warm water will help mix all the ingredients evenly at the end.

Next, you want to pour in 1 tsp of sea salt into the water. This is the magic ingredient that will give you that beautiful wave.

Then, scoop 1 tsp of coconut oil into the water. The reason why we are putting coconut oil into the mixture is because it is very moisturizing for the hair and sea salt dries out your hair. So, adding coconut oil gives it a good balance.

Then, add half a tsp of hair gel. Adding hair gel will give your spray some hold to it so that your waves don't fall out throughout the day. But of course you can still spritz your hair with hairspray afterwards as well.

Mix all the ingredients together until you get a cloudy mixture. Then, pour your mixture into your spray bottle and you're done!

This is the result of the sea salt spray in my hair. My hair was air dried when I sprayed it. Also, I did not have any other product in my hair. I do recommend spraying the sea salt spray into damp hair rather than dry, then you won't have to spray as much product into it. Make sure to shake up the bottle before each use to mix up all the ingredients since water and oil don't mix. Hope you all enjoyed this and give it a try! If you do, let me know how it works out for you I would love to know!

xoxo, Raveena
