Black and White and Tribal, oh my!

I'm a sucker for anything black and white so, when I spotted these harem style black and white pants I had to get them immediately. What's even better is that they're tribal print too! Tribal prints have been on trend a lot in 2013 and 2014. It is very chic looking and can dress up your outfit in a snap. I wanted my outfit's focus to be on the pants so I kept everything else pretty neutral. Black shoes, black shirt, neutral makeup and soft curls in my hair.

Outfit: Top from Zara, Harem pants from Simons, Black heels from Aldo, and rose gold watch by Marc Jacobs.
Hair: I used my flat iron to create curls in my hair, I brushed it out to give it a softer look and then I pinned up one side of my hair.
Makeup: I primed my eyes with layin' low paint pot from M.A.C. I used the colour Soft Brown from M.A.C all throughout my crease and took the colour Carbon, a matte black colour, from M.A.C and packed that colour on the outer corner of my eye to get a very smokey effect. I took the colour Half-Baked from the Naked 1 and 2 palette and packed that all over my lid. Of course I blended everything out after applying all those colours. I lined my top lash line with my Nars liner and lined my waterline with my prolongwear definedly black eyeliner. I took Soft Brown and Carbon and smoked out my bottom lash line as well. I wanted to add some more drama to my eyes so I threw on my #43 lashes from Red Cherry. I contoured my cheeks with Blunt from M.A.C and used the colour Harmony as my blush. I wanted to keep my cheek colour strong but neutral. For lips I did something a little more fun, I did an ombre lip using a dark lip liner and a very nude lipstick. I outlined my lips with Chestnut lip liner from M.A.C and dragged the colour in slightly on the outer corners of my lips. Then, I used Myth lipstick from M.A.C and applied the colour all over the center of my lips. I went back in with Chestnut to blend the two colours together. I went back and forth a couple of times with those two products to make sure I didn't have any harsh lines.

D.I.Y: Sea Salt Spray

Hey guys! Here is a tutorial on how to get waves in your hair without paying salon product prices. A sea salt spray is designed to give you fun beachy waves in your hair without actually having to swim in the ocean. This sea salt spray recipe is super easy to make and most of the items you will need you can find around your house!

So, here is what you'll need
An empty spray bottle
1 cup of warm water
1 tsp of sea salt
1 tsp of coconut oil
1/2 a tsp of hair gel

First, you want to take a measuring cup and fill it up with warm water to the 1 cup mark. The warm water will help mix all the ingredients evenly at the end.

Next, you want to pour in 1 tsp of sea salt into the water. This is the magic ingredient that will give you that beautiful wave.

Then, scoop 1 tsp of coconut oil into the water. The reason why we are putting coconut oil into the mixture is because it is very moisturizing for the hair and sea salt dries out your hair. So, adding coconut oil gives it a good balance.

Then, add half a tsp of hair gel. Adding hair gel will give your spray some hold to it so that your waves don't fall out throughout the day. But of course you can still spritz your hair with hairspray afterwards as well.

Mix all the ingredients together until you get a cloudy mixture. Then, pour your mixture into your spray bottle and you're done!

This is the result of the sea salt spray in my hair. My hair was air dried when I sprayed it. Also, I did not have any other product in my hair. I do recommend spraying the sea salt spray into damp hair rather than dry, then you won't have to spray as much product into it. Make sure to shake up the bottle before each use to mix up all the ingredients since water and oil don't mix. Hope you all enjoyed this and give it a try! If you do, let me know how it works out for you I would love to know!

Day to Night: Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

Hey guys! So, lately I've been obsessed with the naked 3 palette, I've been wearing it allll the time. When Urban Decay had released this palette everyone and their mother were dying to get it. I had tried ordering it online about 3 times but it was always sold out!!! Like within half an hour this palette would sell out. I was so mad. But finally sephora had some in stock on their website and I immediately ordered it and have been obsessed ever since I got it in the mail. This palette comes in a range of beautiful rose gold shades; from neutrals to dramatic colours. In my opinion, this palette looks great on any skin tone and is perfect for day or night. So, I wanted to share this look i came up with!

Tools: #242 shader brush from M.A.C, #217 blending brush from M.A.C, and #224 large blending brush from M.A.C

Products: Naked 3 Palette, M.A.C Paint Pot in Laying low, Nars eyeliner stylo in Carpates (black), M.A.C prolongwear pencil in definedly black, and Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes mascara.
Procedure: So, first I primed my eyes with my paint pot (its really important not to skip this step so your eyeshadow can last all day beautifully without smudging or creasing). Then I took my #224 brush and the colour limit and blended that all throughout my crease in a windshield wiper motion.

Next, I took my #217 brush and the colour Nooner and focused that on the outer corner of my eye. I used circular motions to blend the colour on the outer corner and I slightly brought it inwards. Don't bring Nooner in too far or your eyeshadow might look too dark all over.

Then I took the colour Burnout with my #242 brush and patted that all over my lid. The reason why you want to pat the colour all over your lid as apposed to swiping, is because you don't want fall out from the shadow. You also get the most pigmentation out of your shadow that way! I also took Strange with my #224 brush and swept that colour underneath my brow so accentuate my arch. You can stop at this step and throw on your liner and mascara to have an everyday look. To get a more dramatic, night time look I added the colour Darkside on the outer corner on top of Nooner to get a deeper crease colour. So same thing, I took my #217 brush, did circular motions and blended the colour. At this point I go back in with my #224 brush with no product on it and softly blend in my crease to marry all the colours together and make sure I have no harsh lines.

So just throw on your favourite liner and mascara and afterwards you will want to take the colour Darkside once again and use the tip of your shader brush to smudge that on your bottom lash line to complete the look. Then you're good to go!

On the rest of my face I'm wearing my M.A.C Studio Fix foundation and set it with my Studio Careblend powder. As a contour I'm wearing Harmony Blush from M.A.C and Mocha from M.A.C for my blush. I highlight my cheekbones and nose with Albatros from Nars (seriously, my favourite highlighter EVER. It's a must have!) On my lips I'm wearing Oak liner from, you guessed it, M.A.C and Marc Jacobs Lipstick in the colour Moody Margot. I hope you all enjoyed this look I created and it inspires you to try this out for yourself. Enjoy! :)
